Hi, I'm Susan! 

I love to lose myself in all kinds of creative pursuits.

I've lived in Placer County for over thirty years now.  As a middle school science teacher, I loved building art into my assignments to help students better understand concepts in Astronomy, Chemistry and Physics.  

Now that I have retired from teaching I have taken advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow as an artist myself. Quilting, sewing and creating with other types of fibers have been an artistic outlet for me for most of my life.  Painting and drawing is my new passion and an avenue of learning that will keep me challenged and growing for years to come.

My current passion is weaving on my rigid heddle looms.  I love simple weaves using beautiful fibers.  I am pushing myself currently to grow my weaving with more complicated stitches and fiber combinations.
