THE TITAN CYCLE is a planned trilogy of fantasy plays conceived and written by Arif Silverman, and developed and directed by Lillian White. Each play has its own standalone story with its own cast of characters, chronicling sixty years of tumultuous political and environmental transformations in a world not unlike our own.

PART I: DREAM OF RAYS

Not all is as it seems aboard Commander Viola Nightfire’s ship The Mad Wraith. Nightfire and her crew have been tasked by the Queen of The Jade Bay to sail west and capture a school of singing Manta Rays, in hopes their ethereal, transcendent voices will restore the dying waters of their seaside kingdom. Grudges and deceptions run rampant, exacerbated by the presence of the Queen’s Grand Marshall. Dream of Rays explores the different ways humankind can react to the prospect of a crumbling world.

Dream of Rays was originally comissioned by the Dixon Place, and scheduled for a world premiere in October 2020. It has been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

PART II: BLACKBLADE

The Queens of the East are on a desperate, violent search for their youngest sister who robbed them of their powers. In the onslaught, fear and despair are ascendent. Innocent lives are lost. Fires rage everywhere. After thirty long years, this vicious witch hunt reaches its climax in a tavern with its own history of violence.

Told in four episodes from varying viewpoints, BlackBlade features a vibrant cast of characters dealing with the fallout of the events of Dream of Rays.

PART III: MY GODS BLEED IVORY

The Monarch of the East has made their way to The Earthbound Temple to bear witness to the passing of the world's last known Titan. As they deliberate what to do in the wake of this colossal loss, whispers of revolution have amplified. Out of nowhere, a young woman has conquered the last of the Southern Raiders, and now heads East to extend her rule. Their impending confrontation is chronicled by the steward of this dying God.

My Gods Bleed Ivory is the final story of THE TITAN CYCLE, and is currently in the early stages of development.
