DIXON PLACE LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We are living and working on un-ceded land stolen from indigenous people. Digital space is Native space - the ground holding the cable tower and the air holding the WiFi signal. We wish to combat the invisibility and erasure faced by Native people. We are grateful for Indigenous Nations ancestral stewardship of the place we call home.
ANTIRACIST STATEMENT:
Dixon Place is an anti-racist organization committed to practices, policies, and programming that ensures inclusivity with regards to race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, class, and age. We condemn the violence that perpetuates inequity, intolerance, and injustice. We recognize the centuries long destructive history of white supremacy and we stand in solidarity with activists, organizers and communities working to make meaningful change. We strive to create a safe, equitable home where artists of all stripes and callings have access to resources and opportunities that successfully support and advance their voices and visions.
ABOUT DIXON PLACE:
Dixon Place is a non-profit institution dedicated to fostering artistic communities by developing & presenting original works of theater, dance, puppetry, circus arts, literature & visual art in a safe, inclusive environment that inspires & encourages artists to generate new ideas & execute new practices. While the artists’ experience is given top priority, we are committed to providing meaningful, culturally enriching experiences for audiences who are as diverse & adventurous as our artists.
