Privacy Policy — Blackbaud App

Your privacy comes first.

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Blackbaud App from you as an app user. We use Google AdMob to show advertisements — banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads — which is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app. Fundraising data you manage is stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Blackbaud App is built to help nonprofits, charities, and fundraising teams manage donors, campaigns, events, CRM contacts, tasks, and reporting with confidence. We designed this app so you can use the dashboard, donor management, campaign tracking, event tools, and admin features without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

• Your name

• Your phone number

• Your email address

• Your home or mailing address

• Your date of birth

• Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

• Photos, contacts, or camera data

• Precise GPS location

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To power your nonprofit management experience, Blackbaud App stores the following locally on your device only (Room database and DataStore preferences):

• Donor profiles, donation records, and notes you create or edit

• Fundraising campaigns, goals, and progress data

• Events, registrations, and check-in records

• CRM contacts, volunteers, supporters, and communication logs

• Tasks, calendar items, documents, and notes

• Search queries, filters, and sorting preferences

• App settings (such as dark/light theme and organization name)

This information is not uploaded to our servers by default and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Donor or contact details you enter are organizational records you choose to keep on your device — we do not receive them as personal user profile data.

4. Optional Cloud Sync

Blackbaud App is designed for offline-first use. When internet access is available, the app may connect to configured API endpoints to support optional cloud sync. Only the data required for sync would be transmitted — not your personal app-user credentials, because none are required.

5. Reports and Exports

When you generate reports or export data to PDF or Excel from within the app, those files are created on your device or shared through your device's standard share sheet. We do not receive copies of exported reports unless you explicitly send them to us.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside Blackbaud App. AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, and it is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app.

Types of ads shown:

• Banner ads — displayed at the bottom of app screens

• Interstitial ads — full-screen ads shown when you navigate between sections or select a category (for example, menu items, donor filters, or CRM tabs). After the ad is closed or skipped, the requested screen or action continues

To serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process:

• Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)

• General device information (device model, OS version, language, screen size)

• Coarse, non-precise location derived from your IP address

• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and views)

• App activity related to ad delivery

This information is collected by Google and its partners, not directly by us. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and ad policies:

You can control personalized advertising on your device at any time:
Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
From there you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.

7. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob uses SDK-level identifiers and similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention, as described in the Advertising section above. We do not operate our own cross-app tracking or analytics SDK separate from AdMob.

8. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Internet access — required to load advertisements, optional cloud sync, and app content

• Network state — required for reliable ad and content delivery

• Notifications — optional alerts for donations, events, and tasks (Android 13+)

• Advertising ID (Android 13+) — used by Google AdMob when ads are enabled

We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, or precise location.

9. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your organization's data and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app. Ad-related data is handled by Google's secure ad infrastructure according to their policies.

10. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for general professional and nonprofit use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Google AdMob may serve non-personalized ads in accordance with applicable laws and your device settings.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Blackbaud App → Storage → Clear storage

For ad-related choices:

• Use Android Settings → Privacy → Ads to manage your advertising ID and personalization

• Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data and stops in-app ad delivery

12. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
