Blackball Score collects no personal data, uses no tracking technology, displays no advertising, and transmits no information to anyone.
Everything you enter stays on your device and nowhere else.
The app saves the following locally, in a database held on your phone:
the players you create (name, profile picture);
any federation licences linked to those players (number, federation, club, team, ranking);
the matches you play (date, participants, score, racks, sets);
your preferences (app language, cloth colour).
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, not backed up to any online service, and not accessible to anyone but you.
The app's publisher has no access to it whatsoever.
The app requests internet permission for one purpose only: to let you import a licensed player's details from the public websites of billiards federations.
Two federations are supported:
AFEBAS — afebas.org
FFB (French Billiards Federation) — telemat.org
When you run a search from within the app, it reads the public pages of those websites — exactly as a web browser would — in order to retrieve the information you asked for (name, licence number, club, ranking).
Please note that:
no data about you is sent to those websites: only the search terms you type (a name or a licence number) are transmitted;
no account is required and no authentication takes place;
the information retrieved is already publicly available on those sites;
these federations are independent third parties: their own privacy policies govern their websites, and the publisher of Blackball Score is not responsible for them.
These searches only happen when you explicitly request them. If you never use the licence import feature, the app never connects to the internet at all.
To be entirely clear, Blackball Score:
collects no personal data;
requires no account;
uses no analytics or usage-tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no usage statistics);
displays no advertising;
uses no advertising identifier;
shares no data with third parties;
sells no data;
does not access your contacts, your location, your camera, your microphone, or your files.
The only permission requested is internet access, as described in section 3.
The app includes a support screen that lets you get in touch with the publisher.
This feature simply opens your usual email application with a pre-filled message. It may attach a technical diagnostic file to help troubleshoot a problem.
Nothing is sent automatically. You see the message, you can edit or cancel it, and you alone decide whether to send it.
If you do choose to write to us, your email address and the contents of your message reach us — as with any email. They are used solely to reply to you, are not kept longer than necessary, and are not used for any other purpose.
The app is not specifically directed at children and knowingly collects no data concerning them. As no data is collected at all, no information relating to a minor is ever processed.
You remain in full control of your data:
you can delete a player or a match directly within the app;
you can erase all data through your phone's settings (Settings → Apps → Blackball Score → Storage → Clear data);
uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything it contained.
As no copy exists anywhere else, this deletion is complete and irreversible.
The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection regarding your personal data.
With Blackball Score, you exercise these rights directly: since the publisher neither collects nor holds any of your data, there is nothing to request, correct, or have deleted from us. You are the sole holder of the app's data, and you can modify or erase it at any time from your own device.

This policy may be updated, particularly if new features change how data is handled (for instance, the future addition of advertising). Any change will be published on this page along with a new "last updated" date.
