Developers often have to struggle with cheaters, especially on the PC. As soon as Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out, hackers have probably already created the first aim bots. Developer Treyarch has the problem in their sights.
On October 12th, about a week ago, Black Ops 4 was released. During this time, players have reached the maximum level and unlocked rare skins.
But after only a few days, hackers have probably also managed to get Aim-Bots for Black Ops 4 into circulation. Fans discovered and shared recordings of a suspected user. Treyarch has already responded and is working on a solution.
Some players are taking unfair advantage in CoD: Black Ops 4, also on PS4 and Xbox One. But it's not hacks or cheats to blame - it's a glitch.
Perhaps it has already happened to you in Black Ops 4's multiplayer: A player moves extremely quickly across the map and is therefore difficult to hit.
Such "cheaters" spoil some fun in Blops 4's multiplayer mode. But what is really behind it?
What's the problem right now? In the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, some players move faster than normally possible for reasons that are initially inexplicable.
They scurry across the map like lightning, killing players at a breakneck pace. At the same time, their speed makes them difficult to hit.
The first videos of suspected cheaters appear on the net - also on PS4 and Xbox One.
And this is exactly where the rabbit lies, because we actually only know cheaters from the PC.
Cheaters on consoles too? Consoles are actually considered safe when it comes to cheaters. Aimbots and other hacks are usually not easy to install as usual on a PC.
That's not the problem with Black Ops 4 either. There are no cheaters behind the supposed fraudsters. Instead, a glitch is exploited on the consoles.
What are Aimbots? This is an external tool designed to help players target and always hit opponents.
Where does the suspicion come from? A gamer posted a video on reddit that shows someone likely using an aimot. Of course, it is possible that players just have a very good aim.
But if you look at the video, you can see how strange the movements are. In the video, the player scores six kills with almost 100% accuracy, four of which are headshot kills.
Are there any other problems? Like most major post-release games, Black Ops 4 has a few issues to contend with.
We only reported a possible bug on October 18th, but it could have existed for a longer time. Players complained about hits that were not recognized by the game. Player gestures also cause problems.
