How It Works

How it works:

• Pick up your Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl passport from any participating store during the week of the crawl (April 18-25, 2026).

• Get a stamp or signature on your passport at each participating store you visit.  

• Each page of your passport shows stores in a different "zone". Visit all the stores in one zone, and get a coupon for 25% off any one purchase at any of the stores in that zone! 

• Complete as many zones as you like, and get a coupon for each zone completed!

• Visit ALL 34 stores to win a special grand prize!  Email a picture of your completed passport to brooklynbookstorecrawl@gmail.com, and let us know at which store  you'd like to pick up your prize; we'll respond after April 25 to let you know when your prize is ready for pickup!

• Tag #brooklynbookstorecrawl on socials to show off your journey and connect with others!

• Come to the Bookstore Crawl Afterparty on April 25 to win even more prizes in the Bookstore Crawl raffle -- the more stores you visit, the more you're entered to win!

* The Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl 25% off coupon is valid on a single purchase at any participating bookstore for up to one month following the Crawl. Coupons apply to stores in one zone; you can use your coupon at any of the stores indicated on it.  Different zones will have different coupons. Please note that bookstores may have varying open hours and shopping policies; please check bookstore information in advance of visiting if possible, and respect all bookstores’ individual shopping guidelines.  

While a purchase is not required for participation in the Bookstore Crawl, indie bookstores depend on the support of readers to stay in business!  Consider having a browse, especially in stores that are new to you, and make a purchase where you can.  You can also give the bookstores you visit a follow on social media to help boost their profile and bring more book lovers to our stores!  And of course, always be kind to retail employees!
