# Privacy Policy for Celebrio

Celebrio ("the app", "we", "us") is a birthday reminder and greeting‑card app.
This policy explains what information the app handles, how, and your choices.
Celebrio is designed to be **local‑first**: the birthdays and content you create
stay on your device. The only information that ever leaves your device is
described in "Information we collect" below.

## Information stored only on your device (not collected by us)
The following is stored **locally on your device** and is **never uploaded to us
or any third party**:
- Birthdays you add — names, dates, notes, relationship tags, phone numbers, and
photos you attach.
- "Memory" photos and notes you save for past celebrations.
- Contacts you choose to import — read from your device only to create local
birthday entries. We do not upload your contacts.
- Calendar entries — when you choose to import from or export to your device
calendar, this happens on your device only.
- Images you pick from your gallery (avatars, card backgrounds) and cards you
save to your gallery.
- App settings.
This data is removed when you delete the item in the app or uninstall the app.
## Information we collect
Celebrio collects data only in these limited cases:
**1. When you contact us (feedback / bug reports).**
If you use the in‑app "Contact us" form, we receive the information you submit:
your **email address**, and optionally your **name** and **message**. For bug
reports we also include basic technical details — **app version, operating‑system
version, and device brand/model** — to help us diagnose the issue. This is sent
through a Google Apps Script endpoint and delivered to our support email. We use
it only to respond to you and improve the app.
**2. Push notifications.**
The app registers with **Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)** so we can send
notifications, such as letting you know an app update is available. This uses an
FCM registration token processed by Google to deliver messages. We do not store
this token ourselves and do not use it to identify you personally.
**3. Analytics.**
We use **Google Firebase Analytics** to understand, in aggregate, how the app is
used so we can improve it. This includes app‑interaction events (e.g., screens
viewed, features used), session/usage information, a Firebase installation ID,
and general device/technical information. We **do not** collect the Advertising
ID (AAID), and we do not use this data to identify you personally.
## How we use information
- To respond to your feedback and support requests.
- To deliver notifications you have allowed (including update notices).
- To understand overall usage trends and improve the app's features and stability.
We do **not** sell your data, and we do **not** use it for advertising.
## Sharing and third‑party services
We do not share your information with third parties except the service providers
that make the above features work:
- **Google Firebase** (Analytics, Cloud Messaging) — see Google's Privacy Policy:

- **Google** (Apps Script / email) — used to deliver your feedback to us.
These providers process data on our behalf to provide their services.
## Permissions we request
- **Notifications** — to show birthday reminders and update notices.
- **Contacts (read)** — only if you choose to import birthdays from contacts.
- **Calendar (read/write)** — only if you choose to import or export birthdays.
- **Photos / media** — to let you pick images (via the system photo picker) and
save birthday cards to your gallery.
- **Exact alarms** — to fire reminders at the time you choose.
- **Internet** — for feedback, analytics, and notifications.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
## Data retention and deletion
- **On‑device data** remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall Celebrio.
- **Feedback** you send us is retained in our email for as long as needed to
address your request.
- **Analytics** data is retained according to Firebase's retention settings.
To request deletion of feedback you have sent us, email **bk.apps.help@gmail.com**.
## Children's privacy
Celebrio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in
your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
## Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, and data sent to our services
is transmitted over secure (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or
storage is 100% secure.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected
by updating the "Last updated" date above.
