Purpose
Because of the COVID-19 spread and social distancing advice to reduce the spreading of viral infection, the BK21 committee has decided to convert the 15th English Presentation Contest of BK21 4 program, Division of Applied Life Science, GNU to an online conference.
When & Where?
This “non-face-to-face” conference will be held online on October 26th(Tuesday), at the following website (https://sites.google.com/view/bk2021-15th).
How?
- Topics from various fields of agricultural biotechnology will be offered by the online conference, including 8 English presentations (for Korean students) and 2 Korean presentation (for international students).
- A live chat window along with presentation videos will also be opened during each session for questions and answers. If you have questions to presenters, you can use this live chat window.
- In order to encourage active participation in online conferences, the prize draws will be held for those who actively ask questions in presentations and write a guestbook. The more questions you ask, the higher your chances to get the prize!
Why?
Graduate students of the BK21 4 Program have the opportunity to present in foreign languages (Korean for foreigners, English for Koreans), 1) to cultivate an international mindset, 2) to improve foreign language presentation skills 3) to expand interest in various academic fields, 4) to develop a conference platform and communication method suitable for the untact era.
