Studio Album:

Song of the Rain

Production Details

In recent years, B.J. began planning for and recording songs for her first complete, all-original studio album.

With the help of her good friend Steve Szymanski, B.J. recorded her album over the course of many sessions.

B.J. repeatedly drove up the steep mountain with her treasured collection of instruments in the back seat of her 4-wheel drive Jeep, and B.J. and Steve spent many magical afternoons together, recording B.J.'s all original songs and compositions, pausing occasionally to watch through the studio windows as the rain drops, or snowflakes, or leaves fell. B.J. personally and carefully built this collection of her songs for you.

Though B.J. did not get to see the release of her album, several close friends and musical buddies gathered in the studio with Steve in April of 2023 to see that B.J.'s album would be completed and released in the summer of 2023, just as B.J. intended.

B.J.'s album features guest musicians including Steve Szymanski on mandolin, bass, and keyboards, Carli Zug on harmony vocals, Jeri Davis on harmony vocals, Edee Gail on harmony vocals, and Bill Farmer on acoustic guitar. The album was recorded and produced by Steve.

The album was mastered at Airshow Mastering in Boulder Colorado.

But B.J., being the amazing musical powerhouse that she was, sang, performed, and produced the core and the heart of the album's music herself, including vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, and of course her constant companion, the beautiful Flat Iron banjo she called "Sweetie".

So, this is B.J. singing to you, personally sharing her poetry, music, melodies and message with you. Take inspiration. B.J. Suter's light continues to shine brightly on this world.
