1. Introduction

Welcome to BizKhata ("BizKhata," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the BizKhata mobile application (the "App") collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and how it is protected.

BizKhata is a business management application designed for shops and small businesses. It helps users manage customer ledgers (udhar), bills, products, expenses, employee and salary records, reports, and other business activities.

Your business records are stored on your own device and are not stored on our servers. BizKhata does not require user accounts or passwords. However, a limited amount of information is sent to our license server to activate, verify, and manage your App license, as described in this Privacy Policy.

By using BizKhata, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Sent to Our License Server

BizKhata uses a license key to activate and unlock certain features. When you activate or verify a license, the App may send the following information to our license server:

• License key

• Device identifier: An identifier generated by the App. On Android devices, this is based on a hashed (one-way transformed) version of the device's Android ID. It helps us recognize the same device if the App is reinstalled.

• Business profile information: The business name you enter during setup and, if provided by you, your business phone number, business address, and business type.

We use this information only for purposes related to providing, verifying, managing, and supporting your license.

We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

2.2 Business Records Stored on Your Device

The business information you enter into BizKhata is stored locally on your device in the App's private storage. This information is not transmitted to or stored on our servers as part of the normal operation of the App.

This may include:

• Customer names, phone numbers, and credit/payment (udhar) records

• Bills, sales, offers, and reports

• Products, categories, prices, stock information, and product photos

• Business expenses

• Employee information and salary records

• Business logo and business profile information

• App settings, including language, font, printer, and security settings

You are responsible for the information you choose to enter into the App, including customer and employee information, and for ensuring that you have an appropriate lawful basis to collect and use such information.

2.3 App Lock, PIN, and Biometrics

If you enable the App Lock feature:

• Your PIN is stored only on your device as a one-way hash.

• The PIN is stored using secure device storage, such as Android Keystore or iOS Keychain, where supported.

• Fingerprint and Face ID authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system.

• BizKhata does not receive, access, or store your fingerprint or facial biometric data.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

BizKhata does not collect or store the following information through its normal operation:

• Location history or GPS coordinates

• Contacts from your phone's address book

• Advertising identifiers

• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data

• Crash reports

• Payment card or bank account details

3. How We Use Information

Information sent to our license server, as described in Section 2.1, is used only to:

• Activate and verify your license

• Manage and verify your trial period

• Enforce the number of devices permitted under a license

• Help prevent repeated or unauthorized use of free trials

• Revoke or expire licenses when necessary

• Identify your business when you contact us for support

• Provide certain license-related support services, such as enabling multi-device access where applicable

Your business records stored locally on your device are used by the App only to provide its business management features.

4. App Permissions

Depending on the features you use, BizKhata may request the following device permissions:

Internet

Used to communicate with our license server for license activation and verification.

Camera

Used when you choose to take photos of products or your business logo.

Photos / Media

Used when you choose to select product images or a business logo from your device's gallery.

Bluetooth

Used to connect to supported Bluetooth thermal receipt printers.

Location — Android

Some Android versions require location permission for Bluetooth device scanning. When this permission is required, BizKhata uses it only to discover nearby compatible Bluetooth printers.

BizKhata does not use this permission to collect, store, track, or transmit your physical location.

Face ID / Biometrics

Used to unlock the App when you voluntarily enable App Lock and biometric authentication.

Files / Storage

Used only when you choose specific files or folders for backup or restore operations.

BizKhata does not access your microphone or your phone's contacts list.

You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings at any time. Revoking certain permissions may prevent related App features from functioning properly.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We also do not share your information with advertisers for advertising or behavioral tracking purposes.

BizKhata may interact with the following services:

5.1 License Server and Cloud Hosting

Our license server is hosted using Railway, a third-party cloud hosting provider. Information described in Section 2.1 may be stored and processed on our license server using this hosting infrastructure.

5.2 Actions You Initiate

When you choose to share a bill, receipt, salary slip, reminder, backup file, or other content through WhatsApp, SMS, email, or another application, the content is transferred to the service or application you select.

The privacy practices of the receiving service apply to information you choose to share through that service.

BizKhata does not send such content without an action initiated by you.

5.3 External Links and Applications

BizKhata may provide links or integrations that open external websites or applications, including services such as:

• WhatsApp, for contacting support

• Google Gemini, where you choose to use the optional product import helper

• App stores

• Other external websites or applications that you choose to access

Your use of these external services is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid court order or other lawful government request.

6. Backups

BizKhata does not automatically back up your business records to our servers.

You may choose to manually export a backup file and save it wherever you prefer, including:

• Your device

• Google Drive

• Email

• WhatsApp

• Another cloud storage service

• External storage

Backup files may contain sensitive business information, including customer and employee records.

You are responsible for protecting any backup files you create and for deciding where those files are stored or shared.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

7.1 Business Records on Your Device

Your business records remain on your device until you:

• Delete the records within the App;

• Clear the App's data; or

• Uninstall the App.

Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App may permanently remove locally stored business records unless you previously created a backup.

7.2 License Information on Our Server

License-related information described in Section 2.1 may be retained for as long as your license remains active and, after expiration, for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Prevent misuse of free trials or licenses;

• Resolve disputes;

• Provide license-related support; or

• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

You may contact us using the information in Section 12 to request correction or deletion of license information associated with your license key.

Please note that deleting certain license information may prevent us from continuing to verify or activate your license on a device.

8. Children's Privacy

BizKhata is a business management application intended for adults and businesses. It is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the license-related services described in this Privacy Policy.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the information in Section 12. We will review the request and take appropriate action where required by applicable law.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by BizKhata.

These measures include:

• Business records are stored in the App's private storage on your device.

• Your device's operating system provides additional protection for private App data.

• Your App PIN is stored as a one-way hash using secure device storage where supported.

• Communication between the App and our license server is protected using HTTPS encryption.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We recommend that you:

• Enable App Lock where available;

• Keep your device protected with a secure screen lock;

• Avoid sharing your PIN;

• Store backup files securely; and

• Avoid sending backup files to people or services you do not trust.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

• Access certain personal information we hold about you;

• Request correction of inaccurate information;

• Request deletion of information where legally applicable; and

• Ask questions about how your information is handled.

You can view, edit, and delete your business records directly within the App.

For license-related information stored on our server, you may contact us using the contact details provided in Section 12.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to BizKhata, our services, applicable laws, or our data practices.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Where appropriate, we may also notify users through the App or other available means.

Your continued use of BizKhata after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy.

13. Governing Law
