These turkeys were at a bird feeder at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge near the airport in St. Paul. I had only seen one male turkey displaying his feathers in the wild once before and only one with a couple females. These are wild but come to the feeder for food. I couldn't believe that here were 3 males displaying for 4 females and I could get close enough to take good pictures. April 7, 2018
I saw this group of turkeys on the bottom road several miles west of Fort Ridgely. The 6-8 inches of snow we got on April 14 is melting but seemed not to dampen their flirting with each other. Again there were multiple males displaying for multiple females. I saw them on the road by the mailbox then they went in the woods. April 17, 2018
The same day on the other side of the Minnesota River I first saw a turkey in the field then some by the road. This was a smaller group with only one male displaying and multiple females. Like usual they went in the woods, one flying in.

Nearby to these turkeys was this killdeer and a bunch of robins in or by the melting snow. This was the first killdeer I had seen this spring.
