About Me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Finance (Strathclyde Chancellor's Fellow) at the Department of Accounting Finance at the University of Strathclyde. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Department of Finance at the University of Birmingham and Lecturer at the University of Greenwich. I obtained PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2019. I completed PG Cert in Higher Education and have obtained Fellow status from Advance HE (previously HEA).

My research interests include international investments, emerging markets finance, corporate governance, sustainable finance, climate finance, trading behaviour, corporate bond markets and initial public offerings. My research paper has been published in ABS Ranked journals such as British Journal of Management (ABS 4), Journal of Corporate Finance (ABS 4), Journal of International Money and Finance (ABS 3), European Financial Management (ABS3), European Journal of Finance (ABS 3), Journal of International Finance Markets, Institutions and Money (ABS 3), Finance Research Letters (ABS2), Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (ABS2), and Managerial Finance.

I have received a competitive research grant from the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under NSE-IGIDR Corporate Governance Research Initiative 2017, and a travel grant to present a research paper in Mumbai, India. I also serve as an Associate Editor of Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment and Springer Nature Business & Economics. Further, I also serve as an ad-hoc reviewer for Journal of Corporate Finance, British Accounting Review, European Journal of Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Business Ethics, the Environment & Responsibility, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, European Journal of Development Research, Quarterly Review of Finance and Economics, Economic Modelling, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investments, SN Business & Economics, Accounting Research Journal, Review of Behavioural Finance, and Sage Open. I was awarded Outstanding Reviewer status by Economic Modelling for outstanding contribution to reviewing.
