Hackmate respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We only collect the minimum data required to provide our services, which may include your email address, name, and optional profile details such as LinkedIn, GitHub, or other social media links that you choose to share. Hackmate uses an OTP-based login system and does not store plain-text passwords. All sensitive data is securely transmitted and stored using industry-standard security practices, including encryption and hashing where applicable. Your personal information is never made public by default and is only visible within the app where required for hackathon team formation features. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is used strictly to operate app features such as authentication, team requests, notifications, and hackathon participation. By using Hackmate, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
