We have a web application which has some features that works only in Chrome and I want to launch this web app using Google chrome browser with url of the web app as parameter from Internet explorer via a hyperlink. I tried

There is currently no way to do this. In ArcGIS Pro we use the WebBrowser control provided by Microsoft to display the html associated with the pop-up. This control is basically a wrapper around internet explorer so when you click a link it is equivalent to clicking a link in internet explorer which opens a new window/tab in internet explorer. Similar to how clicking a link in Chrome would open a new tab/window in Chrome. It looks like there are some extensions to Chrome and Firefox out there that add options to open links in different browsers but I didn't find anything like this for Internet Explorer.

Does anyone know of a way that I can create a .NET or ActiveX control off of a Firefox or chrome browser? I have jumped through so many hurdles to get IE to function on a basic level and this problem could be solved so much more efficiently with a modern web browser.

I found this post from 10+ years ago and I don't believe it will work with the newer browsers. I am looking for a similar (but modern) solution.
