Research Topics
BITS 2019 is an international workshop for researchers, developers and users to present, discuss and exchange ideas and R&D results on topics related to the use of big data for intelligent transportation systems. Topics of particular interest in the transportation domain include, but are not limited to:
- transport policy, planning, design and management
- CAVIS
- intelligent and real-time traffic management and control
- environmental issues, road pricing, security and safety
- social media mining for decision-support applications
- surveillance and monitoring systems of vehicular and pedestrian traffic
- anomaly detection including abnormal driving behaviors
- traffic flow modeling
- pedestrian and crowd simulation and analysis
- assessment and evaluation of intelligent transportation systems
- spatio-temporal forecasting of demand and supply
- vehicular communication systems
Submission
Papers must be written in English, and they have to be in PDF or Word format. We are looking for academic papers (up to 10 pages), position, industry experiences (up to 4 pages), or demonstrations (up to 2 pages). Use the same IEEE style as the BigData conference papers (IEEE 2-column format): https://cci.drexel.edu/bigdata/bigdata2019/CallPapers.html. Submissions should NOT be blinded for review.
Authors are expected to present their papers at the workshop. At least one author of each paper must register to be included in the workshop program.
