Production

After discussing what was more favourited with my friend, I then created longer tracks in that style for them to then pick one that i would then finalise, including mixing and mastering the final piece.

As a band, we had a uni assignment of recording, mixing and mastering our own cover of a song. We picked 'Basket Case' by Green Day. Below I have provided the original raw recording and my own personal mastered version, as well as the original song. 

In the master, I duplicated the guitar track and panned them to each side to create a stereo image. I also added reverb to the vocals to give them more room and recreate a live audio space. I also balanced the volumes between the bass and bass DI, aswell as using a noise gate to cut out unwanted background noise.
