Hi, I am Biswaraj Palit and I am from Kolkata, which is a metropolitan city in the eastern part of India. Currently, I am doing my Ph.D. in astrophysics at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw, under the Polish Academy of Science. My office hours are spent understanding the behavior of gases and radiation in the vicinity of supermassive black holes using observational techniques. 

Before joining doctoral studies, I was a visiting student at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, working on ULXs. I completed my Masters (2019-2021) and Bachelors degree (2016-2019) in Physics from Jadavpur University, India.

When I am not working, I read books or simply go for long walks in the woods. I also love writing.
