Projects
Interference Study of IoT Networks
A study aimed at understanding the resilience of Zigbee networks in challenging environments such as Wi-Fi interference and physical interruptions. Utilizing XBee Zigbee modules for the deployment, our findings not only clinched 1st place at the Engineers Week 2021 poster competition (ECE Graduate student category) at UTRGV but also found their way into the Sixth International Congress on Information and Communication Technology 2021, UK. Notably, an offshoot of this research has also been published in the Journal of Computer Networks and Communications.
Cache Memory Design
This deep-dive into cache mechanics covered topics like miss cache, victim cache, stream buffer, and write buffer. After extensive research, an innovative cache scheme was put forth. The proposed mechanism synergizes the Victim Cache with the Write Buffer and integrates it with the Stream Buffer, aiming to optimize memory access time and main traffic efficiency.
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs)
During my tenure at RUET as an undergraduate, I embarked on a journey into the depths of Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks. The challenge? To accurately estimate the number of active sensors, leveraging a cross-correlation-based statistical signal processing approach. MATLAB was the go-to tool for our simulations. This expedition yielded two international paper publications.
Non-contact AC Voltage Detector
Venturing into the realm of electrical innovation, a detector circuit was birthed to identify AC voltage presence without any physical conductor contact. Our design employed the Binary Counter IC (IC CD4060), capitalizing on its ability to sense the electromagnetic fields generated by current flow. A tangible testament to hands-on electrical engineering!
