Coach Widener brings over 12 years of coaching experience and leadership to the BGHS Cheer program. Coaching youth sports, 5 of which have been dedicated to High School Cheer, Coach Widener has built a reputation for developing confident athletes and spirited teams. 

A proud Augusta County native, Wilson Memorial High School graduate, and WMHS Cheer Alumni, Coach Widener's passion for cheerleading and community runs deep. Her dedication and drive led BGHS to it's first National High School Cheerleading Championship appearance in 2025, marking a milestone moment in school and county history. 

Coach Widener's favorite part of coaching is watching her athletes grow - not just in their skills, but in their confidence, teamwork, and love for the sport. She believes cheerleading teaches lessons that last far beyond the sidelines: leadership, perseverance, and pride in every performance.
