Mr. Martin is starting his first year in Bridgeport, and his twenty-fifth year in education. He comes to Bridgeport from Azle where he was the Director of Bands for eight years. Under his direction, Azle ensembles consistently received superior ratings and various awards at regional, area, and state events.
Mr. Martin graduated with his Bachelor of Music Education in 1999 from Tarleton State University, and his Master of Education Administration in 2019 from Lamar University. Mr. Martin studied trumpet with Dr. Cynthia Carrell and Mr. James Sims. He is very grateful to his first band directors, Mr. David Talmage and Mr. Rick Lee, for their hard word, dedication, and love of music and students.
Mr. Martin has served as guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator around the state of Texas. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Phy Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Kappa Kappa Psi. Additionally, he serves at his church, performing with the orchestra, and the praise band. Mr. Martin and his wife of 26 years, Tamara, have two children, Lauren and Tanner, who both attend Baylor University.

Mr. Johnson is starting his first year in Bridgeport, and his 8th year as a band director. Mr. Johnson is coming to us from Gunther High School where he spent the last year as their Assistant Band Director.
His love of music began at Crestview High School in Florida where he was a prominent member of a renown 6A band program. His outstanding band director inspired him to pursue a career in teaching music. He followed in their footsteps and attended University of Southern Mississippi, receiving his bachelor degrees in Music Education and Performance. He was then offered an assistantship at Southern Miss and began teaching while completing his master's degree.
Following the advice fo his college mentors, Mr. Johnson moved to Texas in 2017 to be amongst the best band programs in the country. He taught at Daingerfield High School for four years, spending two as the head director. He then became the head band director at Waskom High School, where he spent two years.
Since moving to Texas, Mr. Johnson's bands have obtained many historic achievements achievements including first-ever sweepstakes awards, and appearances at area finals in the most competitive 3A Area in the state.
Mr. Johnson's goal is to inspire his students to love music in the way his directors did for him. He teaches his students how to achieve their goals in all things through the pursuit of excellence.

Mr. DeViney is starting his second year teaching, and his second year with Bridgeport ISD. Mr. DeViney is originally from Stephenville where he went to High School and College.
Mr. DeViney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Tarleton State University where he studied Saxophone, often performed on Clarinet, and also studied Jazz.
In his free time, Mr. DeViney enjoys hiking, playing in the Greater Fort Worth Community band, video games, and exploring the outdoors.
