The workshop is supported by the University of Birmingham and by the London Mathematical Society through the Scheme 9 grant “Celebrating New Appointments”, following the recent appointments of Fabrizio Del Monte and Pavlo Gavrylenko at the University of Birmingham, and it will showcase recent developments in the theory of (q-)Painlevé equations and isomonodromic deformations, with particular emphasis on their connections to algebraic geometry, string theory and resurgence.
