Short Bio

I am a Research Scientist at University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, where I contribute to multidisciplinary research and High Performance Computing (HPC) initiatives. I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Didier Stricker. My doctoral research focused on deep learning methods for document image recognition and analysis.

Before joining UAB as an HPC Research Scientist, I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at  University of Paris-Saclay, France, collaborating closely with Prof. Isabelle Guyon on historical document image dataset creation and baseline model development projects. I have also had the privilege of teaching and co-teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in machine learning and data science across several universities.
