# Privacy Policy — BirdRunner
**Effective date:** 12 September 2026
**Developer:** Amit Anil Mall
**Contact:** amit.anilmall@gmail.com
BirdRunner is a free, ad-supported endless-runner game for Android. This policy explains
what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. It is written in plain
language on purpose — there is not much to say, because the game collects very little.
## The short version
- BirdRunner has **no account, no sign-in, and no servers of its own**. Nothing you do in
the game is sent to us.
- Your **high score and settings** (mute, preferred orientation) are stored **only on your
device**.
- The game shows **ads through Google AdMob**. Google may collect device and advertising
identifiers to serve and measure those ads. That is the only data that leaves your device,
and it goes to Google, not to us.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## Information stored on your device
The game keeps a small preferences file on your device containing:
- your best score,
- whether sound is muted,
- whether you chose landscape or portrait.
This data never leaves your device through the game. Uninstalling BirdRunner deletes it.
Android's automatic backup may include it in your Google account backup according to your
device's backup settings; that is a feature of Android, controlled by you, not by us.
## Advertising (Google AdMob)
BirdRunner displays interstitial ads after some game-overs and, only when you choose to
watch one, a rewarded video ad to continue a run. Ads are served by **Google AdMob**, part
of Google LLC.
To deliver and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- your device's **advertising ID** (resettable in Android settings),
- **IP address** and coarse location derived from it,
- **device information** (model, OS version, language, screen size),
- **ad interaction data** (impressions, clicks, whether a rewarded ad was completed),
- diagnostic and crash-related data about the SDK itself.
This information is collected and used by Google under Google's own privacy policy, which
you can read at <https://policies.google.com/privacy>. How Google uses data from apps that
use its services is described at <https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites>.
We do not receive personal data from AdMob. We see only aggregate reporting (for example,
how many ads were shown in total).
### Personalised ads and your choices
Depending on your region, Google may use the data above to show ads it thinks are relevant
to you (personalised ads). You can limit this:
- **Reset or delete your advertising ID** — Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- **Opt out of ad personalisation** in the same Android settings screen, or at
<https://adssettings.google.com>.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), the game will
ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change that choice
later from within the game.
## Permissions
The game requests only:
- **Internet** and **network state** — needed to load ads. The game itself plays fully
offline; if there is no connection, it simply shows no ads.
BirdRunner does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage,
or any other sensitive permission.
## Children
BirdRunner is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the
equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the ads
in this game, contact us and we will help you address it with the ad provider.
## Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone. The only third party that
processes data in connection with the game is Google, for advertising, as described above.
## Data retention
Data stored on your device stays there until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
Data collected by Google is retained according to Google's policies, linked above.
## Security
Because the game does not transmit your data to us, there is nothing of yours for us to
secure on a server. Ad traffic to Google is sent over encrypted connections by the Google
SDK.
## Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict
processing of personal data. For the on-device data, you can exercise these yourself by
clearing the app's storage or uninstalling. For data processed by Google, use the controls
linked above or contact Google directly. You can also contact us at the address at the top
of this page and we will do what we can to help.
## Changes to this policy
If the game starts collecting something new — for example if a future version adds
in-app purchases or analytics — this policy will be updated and the effective date changed
before that version is released.
