Here at Birdie Dog Training, I believe that every human dog duo should be given the ability to live in harmony.
I decided to start Birdie Dog Training in honor of my late dog Bertha who suddenly passed away due to surgery complications. At the shelter that I adopted her from they had nicknamed her Birdie, and I wanted to honor her in the best way I could by helping others strengthen their bond with their canine companions.
Shelter dogs will always hold a special place in my heart, if you have recently adopted and are struggling with some behaviors that you did not expect or are struggling to connect with your new companion, please reach out.

My name is Lillian Adamiec, and I am the trainer behind Birdie Dog Training. I have always had a special interest in our canine companions and their behaviors. In college I studied Animal Science & Nutrition, Pre-veterinary but I decided that going to veterinary school was not for me. I then turned my focus to the world of dog training. I started out in a small doggy daycare in Rhode Island where I quickly became assistant manager and was able to observe a vast number of canine behaviors and different breeds, we also had a trainer come in every couple of weeks that I was able to learn from. From there I moved onto a service dog training nonprofit where I quickly climbed the ranks to be part of the training department, while there I trained three different dogs and one of them is currently a facility dog in a Connecticut police station. I decided to make the move out here to the rolling plains of South Dakota in January 2025 to make a fresh start for myself.

At Birdie Dog Training I want to offer the best fit plan for you and your canine companions, that is why at the current time I am offering in home basic obedience training and what we call real world training which just means training in the bustling parks and towns of the area to make sure your dog is at the top of their game.
I believe in well-rounded dog training which includes force free and fear free, but I will tailor the training plan to the individual dog, not every dog is the same when it comes to how they respond to different methods of training. I believe every dog deserves a chance to become the best companion they can become and that starts with a good solid base of training.
