Groundbreaking for Founders Courts Project
When: October 20th, 2019 at 2pm
Where: Battle Point Park, Bainbridge Island
Ceremonial groundbreaking for Founders' Pickleball Courts at Battle Point Park. Attendees include founder of the game Barney McCallum and family representatives from the other two founders Joel Pritchard and Bill Bell. Join the park commissioners and the BI pickleball group in celebration of courts for the game invented here on the island.
You will have a chance to hear from Dan Hamlin from Parks about our contractor, design and timelines. We will also have an opportunity to express our appreciation for all the support and creative problem solving exhibited by the parks commissioners and parks staff. We are embarking on a project that will create the finest outdoor pickleball facility in the state of Washington. Please make every effort to be in attendance, bring paddles and friends and neighbors.
