⭐2026.08.10 Invite the ecology & AI research community to join this survey.
Thank you for your interest in this research survey.
This study investigates how people evaluate AI-generated ecological explanations of species distributions and habitat preferences based on environmental features.
The survey consists of four short evaluation tasks in which you will compare AI-generated ecological explanations of species distributions and habitat preferences.
You will be asked to evaluate the explanations and indicate your preferences. Detailed instructions will be provided at the beginning of the questionnaire.

Voluntary & Anonymous
At the beginning of the questionnaire, you will be asked to choose the language you are most comfortable using for scientific information.
The English questionnaire was used as the original experimental material. The Chinese, Japanese, and German versions were produced using AI-assisted translation and manually reviewed for semantic consistency and clarity across languages.
Participation in this study is voluntary.
Before starting the questionnaire, please read the "Data Information" page, which explains how survey data are collected, used, stored, and protected.
By clicking "Start Survey", you confirm that you have read the study and data information provided and voluntarily agree to participate in this research.
There are no correct or incorrect answers.
Please answer according to your own judgement. We are interested in how the explanations are perceived, not in testing your ecological knowledge.
