BioWings NSUT provides an enriched learning platform that will help countless students. We’re extremely proud of our students and staff, who are always eager to learn, create and grow together. 

The Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering (BSE), formerly known as Department of Biotechnology, was conceived with the aim of creating a well-trained human resource to fulfill the growing demand in various sectors of Biotechnology. The Division was started during the academic session 2004-05. The division presently offers a four-year degree programme in B.E. Biotechnology with an intake of over fifty students per year. In addition, M. Tech.  and PhD degree programmes are also offered. The Faculty members and the students of the division conduct research in diverse areas of basic and applied biology. These include Microbiology, Cell & Molecular Biology and Structural & Computational Biology. The department has developed necessary facilities and infrastructure to support teaching and research activities.
