Thesis opportunities for several MS thesis students per year (depending on funding and projects) are available from BCSIR. Students from any Bioscience background with an interest in Genomics, Bioinformatics or any other Bioscience related projects or students from Computer Science or Bioscience background with a strong interest in bioinformatics tool development are encouraged to contact and express their expression to work with us. 

Current Opportunities- 

## Bioinformatics tool development 

Aim:

To develop bioinformatics tools for solving biological problems

Preferred Requirements:

• Self-motivated MS thesis students from Bioinformatics or CSE or Bioscience Background

• With a strong interest in Bioinformatics tool development 

• Strong coding skills in Python or R 

• Previous tool development experience would be a plus point

• Skill and experience in Machine Learning is a plus point

• Experience with Snakemake/Nextflow would be a plus point

## Food safety, food biotechnology and food product development related project 

Aim:

To turn a big food-related problem into a prospect

Preferred Requirements:

• Self-motivated MS thesis students from any agro or bioscience background or food science or fisheries background

• Interested in wet lab works

• May need to travel to different parts of the country

• Experience in AAS or ICP-MS would be a plus point

• Experience in feed/food product development would be a big plus point
