Congratulations to our Department Day best talk/photo winners!
McGill Biology Graduate Student Association
The Biology Graduate Students Association (BGSA) is a student organization representing graduate students and postdocs in McGill's Department of Biology. We host and organize a variety of social and academic events each year — from social nights at Thomson House to group seminars, workshops, and Department Day. Check out our calendar for upcoming events!
With the arrival of spring comes a change in BGSA leadership. Starting April 1st, BGSA members can now nominate themselves to serve on the 2026-2027 BGSA executive and representative committees. Please use this link to self-nominate. Many executives and representatives are stepping down, and we really need people to step up to maintain and continue improving the student experience. Please check out this document for role descriptions.

The Graduate Development Committee (GDC) is surveying graduate students to learn about their graduate experience. The survey includes questions on funding, training, community, seminars, etc., and has the potential to make a pretty big impact. This is your chance to bring up issues (or successes) directly to the people who actually have the power to change things! The survey should take approximately 5-15 minutes to complete.
Cheers,
Laura and Khalid-AlNaemi on behalf of the Graduate Development Committee
