The worked answers are intended to help you understand how to answer the questions, and therefore you are strongly encouraged to attempt the questions first before looking at these worked solutions. For this reason, avoid looking ahead.

The solutions contain much more detail and explanation than you would need to write in the test itself – after all, candidates are allowed to use an approved straightforward non-programmable scientific calculator in the examination, and you may be very fluent at some of the steps spelled out here. Nevertheless, doing too much in your head might lead to making unnecessary mistakes, so a healthy balance is a good target!
