National Symposium on Biological Invasions

The Center for Invasion Biology in collaboration with the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), will be hosting the National Symposium on Biological Invasions on 15 to 17 May 2019 at Waterval (Tulbagh, Western Cape).

The symposium is intended for invasion experts, students, managers, and policy makers that are interested in biological invasions and their management in the region.

The main theme for the event is Monitoring of Invasions with the following sub-themes:

  • Monitoring
  • The future of invasions


The following standard rates are available:

- Early bird rate (until 05 April 2019) R 3 500 for 3 days or R 1 500 per day

- Standard rate (until 19 April 2019) R 3 800 for 3 days or R 1 800 per day

- Late booking rate (until 03 May 2019) R 4 100 for 3 days or R 2 000 per day
