Find Your Command Line!!!

Using the Command Line in Your Browser - great for our basic purposes!

• Download and Install Google Chrome on your computer
• Download and Install Secure Shell Extension for Chrome (this will provide a way to connect to the HPC through your browser)
  • At the minimum follow Step 1
  • If you would like to start exploring the HPC, follow Step 2
    • Click "New Connection"
    • Where it says "username@hostname" put your HPC account (eg: sborrego@hpc.oit.uci.edu)
    • Make sure the sections below the "username" (eg: sborrego) and the "hostname" (eg: hpc.oit.uci.edu)
    • Click [ENTER] Connect
    • enter your personal UCINETID password
    • WELCOME TO THE UCI HPC!
    • Leave by typing "exit" without the ""
