Charles (Gang) Han is currently a master student at Department of Linguistics, Beijing Language and Culture University, studying (bio)linguistics under the supervision of Prof. Fuzhen Si.
My research interests are (formal/mathematical aspects of) Generative Syntax (NMP), History of Mathematical Linguistics. The ultimate interest of mine is the theoretical modeling of the cognitive foundations of Human Intelligent behaviors, and language, as defined in Chomsky's sense, is the cutting point of this long term goal. I'm also interested in pursuing the question of addressing the conditions necessary and sufficient to make a syntax-semantic interface biologically plausible for human.

Human language faculty (FL), as defined in CHF(2002), is a biological object, a cognitive faculty residing in our brain/mind.
Mathematical structures exist as flexible templates for the description of certain types of universal fundamental processes in nature, which are likely to manifest themselves in similar mathematical form in a variety of different contexts. (MBC 2025)
Adopting Galileo Galilei's words that "The book of nature is written in the language of mathematics" and the thesis that "FL is a natural object", I shall present all my works formal in nature's own langauge in a broad sense, that is, in the form of a formalized/axiomatic/mathematicalized system. Thus, those which are not are just casual discussions.
