Instructions for Authors
Preference will be given to papers related to biogeography, but papers related to biology of other deciplines are also welcome.
Biogeography is now open access from 2020 (downloadable from J-STAGE).
Email submissions are recommended. The e-mail address for submissions is: motomura#kaum.kagoshima-u.ac.jp (change "#" into "@" when submitting), Hiroyuki Motomura (Editor-in-chief).
Please include following information in the body of the email when submitting:
Names of the society members and corresponding authors (at least one of the authors must be a member of the society)
Three potential reviewers (name, email address, affiliation, area of expertise, etc.)
Paper information (manuscript title, authors' names (affiliations), abstract, and Japanese abstract*)
Please attach single Microsoft Word file of your manuscript, which the file should includes both figures and tables and a Japanese abstract*, and should be no larger than about 10 Mb.
If your manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) will be responsible for the following processing costs (applied from vol. 28). The first four pages cost 30,000 yen, and each subsequent block of four pages costs an additional 10,000 yen (e.g., 40,000 yen for a paper with 5–8 pages; 50,000 yen for a paper with 9–12 pages). Color pages do not incur an additional charge.
*For non-Japanese authors, please inquire the editorial office about Japanese abstract.

生物地理学に関連する論文を優先しますが、生物地理学以外の生物学に関わる論文についても歓迎します。
Biogeographyは2020年度からオープンアクセスになりました（J-STAGEでダウンロード可能です）。上記印刷費はかかりますが、オープンアクセスに対する費用はかかりません。

投稿時にはメール本文内に、以下の内容を含めてください。
学会員の氏名とコレスポンディング・オーサーの氏名（著者のうち少なくとも1名が学会員である必要があります）
査読者候補３名（名前・メールアドレス・所属・専門分野等）
論文情報（原稿のタイトル、著者名（所属）、アブストラクト、和文要旨）
原稿については、単一のWordファイルにして添付してください（Wordファイルの中に図表も和文要旨も組み入れ、10Mb程度以内に抑えること）。
原稿が受理された場合、論文掲載料として以下の費用が著者負担となります。Vol. 28より、1–4ページの論文は30,000円、以降、4ページ増毎に10,000円追加（例：5–8ページの論文：40,000円、9～12ページの論文：50,000円）。カラーページは無料です。
