Bioelectric Signaling in Cancer: From Mechanisms to Therapy

The symposium brings together investigators studying how electrical and ionic states regulate cancer biology and therapeutic response, encompassing membrane potential, ion channels, ionic gradients, intracellular and mitochondrial bioelectricity, mechanosensation, metabolism and redox, tumor microenvironment, migration and metastasis, and emerging strategies for measuring and manipulating cancer bioelectricity for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
ONCOBIOELECTRICITY TRAVEL AWARDS
Travel Awards will support students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career investigators attending the symposium. To participate
Submit an abstract by November 1, 2026
Recipients will be selected by the Scientific Committee based on scientific merit and notified by November 15, allowing the awards to support their travel and accommodation in Bari.

Getting to Bari and LUM
LUM is located at S.S. 100, Km 18, 70010 Casamassima (Bari), Italy, approximately 20 km south of central Bari. The campus is easily accessible by car from Bari via the S.S. 100 toward Taranto, and taxi or private transfer is a convenient option for participants arriving at Bari Centrale or Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport. Public transportation is also available: Miccolis operates services connecting Bari and Casamassima with the LUM campus. Participants arriving by air can reach Bari Centrale by train and continue toward Casamassima by bus or taxi.

Taxis are available outside the airport terminal. As Casamassima is outside the standard Bari zone, participants are advised to confirm the fare with the taxi service before departure.
