Dr. T. Anish Chand 

Bio: Anish Chand Turlapaty is an associate professor in IIIT Sri City since 2021. His main research interests are in the area of statistical signal processing and machine learning in the fields of Radar and Bio-signal analysis and human robotic interfaces. From July 2017 to Aug 2021, he was an assistant professor, IIIT Sri City, India. From Mar 2015 to July 2017, he was a faculty at the ECE department of VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, India. From February 2012 to Jan 2015, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of engineering and aviation sciences at University of Maryland Eastern Shore. In this position he worked  on statistical signal processing for cognitive radar systems under the DoD and NSF funded projects.

 From July 2010 - Jan 2012, he was at Mississippi State University as a postdoctoral associate. There, he worked on pattern recognition and adaptive signal processing algorithms in the field of spatio-temporal data analysis as a part of NASA's RPC projects. He has received graduate student of the year awards for outstanding research from both the Mississippi State University Centers & Institutes and the Geosystems Research Institute at MSU for the year 2010. He has published 12 peer-reviewed journal papers and 20 papers & posters at international conferences & symposia.


Dr. Balakrishna Gokaraju

Bio: Dr. Balakrishna Gokaraju is an associate director of Visualization and Computation Advancing Research (ViCAR) Center, and associate professor in the Dept. of Computational Data Science and Engineering at North Carolina A & T State Univ. (NCAT). He worked as Visiting Research Faculty at NASA Goddard Space and Flight Center, MD, for Man Moon Mission 2025. He is contributing by integration of ML and DL techniques for Virtual Reality/ Augmented Reality simulations of extreme terrains. His research background is extensive in satellite remote sensing applications and HPC, with eight years of service in various National Labs including, High Performance Computing Collaboratory (HPCC), Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS), Geosystems Research Institute (GRI) in MS, and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). His current research interests are in Spatio-Temporal Scientific Visualizations, HPC, Fully Autonomous Cars, Ground Rovers and Off-road vehicles, and IoT sensor Network. He is an effectual team player with proven record of delivering results on time for sixteen sponsored projects in the equivalent of $ 5.5 Million (37 crore Rupees) as PI and Co-PI. His research interests are sponsored and partnered by NOAA, NASA, U.S. Dept. of Ed., Dept. of Labor, DOE, DOD and NSF. He also developed various research labs at University of West Alabama (UWA), and managed teams of faculty, scientists, research associates, research assistants for successful completion of various projects. He also teaughts various electrical, electronics, robotics and ML courses at UWA. He strongly believes in engineering written communication and co-authored 20 international journals (including 184 citations in last 5 years) and 36 peer-reviewed conference publications in IEEE. His degrees are: Ph. D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Mississippi State Univ.; M.S. in Remote Sensing (BITs Ranchi); and B.S. in Electronics and Communication Eng. (JNTU Hyderabad), INDIA 


Dr. Shiv Ram Dubey

Bio: He received the Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, Prayagraj, India, in 2016. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Project Officer at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, Chennai, India. He was with IIIT Sri City, Sri City, India, as an Assistant Professor, from December 2016 to July 2021, and a Research Scientist from June 2016 to December 2016. He has been with the IIIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, India, since July 2021, where he is currently the Assistant Professor of information technology. 

His research interest includes Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Biometrics, Medical Imaging and Bio-Signal Analysis, Convolutional Neural Networks, Image Feature Description, Content Based Image Retrieval, Image-to-Image Transformation, Face Detection and Recognition, Facial Expression Recognition, Texture and Hyperspectral Image Analysis. 

He was a recipient of several awards including the Indo-Taiwan Joint Research Grant from GITA-DST, Govt. of India, Best PhD Award in PhD Symposium, IEEE-CICT2017 at IIITM Gwalior, Early Career Research Award from SERB, Govt. of India and NVIDIA GPU Grant Award Twice from NVIDIA. He received the Outstanding Certificate of Reviewing Award from Information Fusion, Elsevier in 2018. 

Dr. Mainak Thakur

Bio: Dr. Mainak Thakur is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in IIIT Chittoor (Sri City), where he has been teaching since 2018. He received his Masters degree and PhD at IIT Kharagpur. He was a post- doctoral researcher at the IRMAR Laboratory, Department of Mathematics at University of Rennes 1, France. Before his PhD, he gained industry experience while working in the data analytics domain. His primary research interests are in the fields of Spatial Statistics (Geostatistics) and Spatio-temporal Statistics. He also works in the area of developing statistical models for several applications such as environment, geology, earth science etc. He has published in prestigious international journals and conferences.
