About Me

I am B. K. Binisha Joji, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Costume Design and Fashion at Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Nagercoil.

I have more than 4 years of teaching experience in the field of Textiles and Apparel Design, handling undergraduate and postgraduate classes. My teaching focuses on developing students' theoretical knowledge, practical skills, creativity and professional confidence.

I hold an M.Phil. in Textiles and Apparel Design and an M.Sc. in Textiles and Apparel Design from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. I completed my B.Sc. in Costume Design & Fashion from Women's Christian College, Nagercoil, affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, securing University 5th Rank.

My academic interests include Textile Testing, Dyeing and Printing, Indian Textiles, Fashion Illustration and Technical Textiles. I am particularly interested in sustainable textiles, traditional Indian textiles, textile innovations and creative fashion education.

Along with teaching and research, I actively participate in academic events, workshops, seminars, webinars, fashion shows, student activities, industrial visits and skill-development programmes. I have also served as a resource person/guest lecturer and have contributed to organizing academic programmes for students and faculty.

My goal is to create a learning environment where students can transform their creative ideas into practical fashion and textile solutions.
