Yet another option, although more suitable to static data, is using a technique called UTFGrid. The lads that developed it can certainly explain it better than me, but it scales for as many points as you want with a fenomenal performance. It consists on having a tile layer with your info, and an accompanying json file with something like an "ascii-art" file describing the features on the tiles. Then, using a library called wax it provides complete mouse-over, mouse-click events on it, without any performance impact whatsoever.

I was Inserting as option 1 (View Attributes). Doing it via a Raster attachment is kind of what i was after, but is there a limitation on the amount of references with Raster maps that can be inserted?

You will need to do some adjustment to the raster display order. Not knowing what your other attachments look like and how they overlap, the bing map attachment should probably have the lowest display priority, then other attachments layered on top.

Microsoft subsequently referred to this product officially as "Live Search Maps", integrating it as part of its Live Search services.

Bing maps frequently update and expand the geographic areas covered by their imagery, with new updates being released on roughly a monthly basis. Each imagery release typically contains more than 10TB of imagery.

Users can browse and search topographically-shaded street maps for many cities worldwide. Maps include certain points of interest built in, such as metro stations, stadiums, hospitals, and other facilities. It is also possible to browse public user-created points of interest. Searches can cover public collections, businesses or types of businesses, locations, or people. Five street map views are available: Road View, Aerial View, Bird's Eye View, Street Side View, and 3D View.

Bing Map Apps is a collection of 1st and 3rd party applications that add additional functionality and content to Bing Maps. Examples of map apps include a parking finder, a taxi fare calculator, an app that maps out Facebook friends, and an app which lets users explore the day's newspaper front pages from around the world. Bing Maps allows users to share maps and embed maps into their websites. By clicking the e-mail icon in the bottom-left corner of Bing Maps, a window will open that displays a shareable URL so others can access the map currently being viewed. This window also provides HTML code to embed a small version of the map onto any web page.

So to force me to use Japanese map service, I went to www.bing.co.jp (same as I do for Google when I explicitly want Japanese results), the select Maps from the top menu. Since you are in Japan, Bing might be sending you there by default.

In UK and US maps, zooming in there are cities in alpha text, but search could not find them. I think if you can find "10 Downing Street" by going there on the map manually you will see what you can search for (as long as it is in katakana). Kind of backwards though.

Based on OP's feedback, he could go to a national Bing site you would expect to be in English (in this case www.bing.co.uk was tried), and the maps were in English again. Then (again from Japan) maps on www.bing.com also were in English, probably due to a cookie being set.

You can render the bing maps markers based only on the address information. For that, there are two sections Address and Postal Code added in the field containers section as shown in the following image,

In a nutshell, throughout the US, ESRI's World Imagery layer provides a resolution of 1m per pixel or better. Bing aerial maps as well offer worldwide orthographic aerial and satellite imagery. Like World Imagery Coverage the quality varies by region, with the currently most detailed coverage in the US and UK.
