## 1. Information Collection and Storage
### A. Local Device Data Storage
FloatJob is designed as a privacy-first, on-device application.
* All job application data, listing notes, salary details, company names, work styles, recruiter contacts, and status pipeline selections you enter or import into the app are stored strictly on your local device using encrypted local storage (Hive).
We do not operate external servers, cloud databases, or accounts. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal job application data, resume information, or notes.
### B. Link Parsing and Web Scraping
When you use the URL Sync or Share Target features to import a job listing URL (such as links from LinkedIn, Seek, Indeed, Glassdoor, Jora, or ZipRecruiter):
* The app sends an HTTP GET request directly from your mobile device to the listing URL to fetch public webpage HTML.
* The extracted text (job title, company, location, description) is processed entirely on your local device and saved directly to your local device database. No intermediate proxy server or data harvester is used.

## 2. Third-Party Services and Advertisements
FloatJob integrates Google AdMob to display banner advertisements within the application. Although FloatJob itself does not collect personal data, Google AdMob may collect and process certain data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob may collect and use:
* Device Identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID / IDFA)
* IP Address and general location data
* App usage and interaction data for ad serving, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and performance analytics.

## 3. Permissions
FloatJob requests minimal device permissions necessary for core application functionality:
* Internet Access (`android.permission.INTERNET`): Required to fetch public webpage HTML when you use the job link import scraper and to load AdMob banner ads.
* Network State (`android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`): Used by AdMob to verify active internet connectivity before attempting to load banner ads.
FloatJob does not request or access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage files.

FloatJob does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Because all your application data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:
* Editing and Deleting Data: You can modify or delete any job entry directly within the app at any time.
* Data Removal: Uninstalling the FloatJob app from your device will permanently delete all stored local database files.
