Short Biography

Bin Li is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. His research primarily examines the effects of accounting disclosures—both mandatory and voluntary—on investor decisions and firm value. He also explores topics in corporate finance, regulatory enforcement, and standard setting. Professor Li's work has been published in many top-tier accounting and business journals and has received multiple national awards, including the Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award and the FARS Best Paper Award. Before joining Vanderbilt, he was a faculty member at the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Houston. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Duke University in 2012.
