This Privacy Policy describes how BillWise ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Information You Provide
Account information: When you register, we collect your name and email address.
Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
Expense data: Descriptions, amounts, and participant details for expenses you create.
Group data: Group names and member lists you create within the App.
Contact information: Names, email addresses, and phone numbers of contacts you manually add.
Usage data: App interactions and feature usage, collected via Google Firebase Analytics.
Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
Advertising data: Google AdMob collects data to serve personalized ads, including device identifiers and usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account
Enable expense splitting and balance calculations between users
Display your groups, expenses, and contacts
Show relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
Improve the App's performance and features
Communicate important updates about the App
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database provided by Google LLC. Data is stored on Google's servers and is subject to Google's data protection policies.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
Google Firebase — for authentication, database storage, and analytics
Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements
Other app users — your name is visible to members of groups you join or create
This App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use cookies and device identifiers to show personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device settings:

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
BillWise is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
We implement industry-standard security measures including Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules to protect your data from unauthorized access.
