Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication data when you sign in with Google or Apple.
Receipt Data: Images of receipts you upload for scanning. These images are processed to extract text and are stored securely.
Contacts: If you grant permission, we access your device contacts to help you add friends for bill splitting. Contact data is not uploaded to our servers.
Usage Data: Basic app usage analytics to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and improve the receipt scanning and splitting service
To create and manage your account
To generate payment request links
To send you important service updates
To improve AI receipt parsing accuracy
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Receipt images are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with:
Authentication: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for secure login.
AI Processing: Anthropic Claude for receipt parsing. Receipt images are sent to Anthropic for processing and are subject to their privacy policy.
Payment Links: Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App links are generated locally and no payment data passes through our servers.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
With service providers necessary to operate the App
When required by law or legal process
To protect the rights and safety of our users
6. Your Rights
You can:
Access and update your account information in Settings
Delete your account and all associated data
Revoke contacts access through your device settings
Request a copy of your data by contacting us
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (receipts, splits, friend lists) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
