Bill2QR ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Bill2QR collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and your choices regarding your data when you use our mobile application and related backend services.
a. Account and Device Information
When you use Bill2QR, we may collect and store the following information on our backend systems:
Device UUID
Device name
Platform information
UPI ID
Recovery phone number
Owner PIN hash (stored in hashed form, not plain text)
This information is used to support account setup, device eligibility, owner authentication, linked user-device access, and account recovery-related flows.
b. Authentication and Session Data
To keep accounts secure and maintain login sessions, we may store:
Access-related token metadata
Refresh tokens
Device claim grants for adding restricted user devices
c. Campaign and Activity Data
Bill2QR may store limited campaign engagement data, such as:
Campaign impression, click, dismiss, or close events
Device UUID linked to those events
Related event metadata, such as dwell time or CTA interactions
This data is used to manage in-app announcements, campaigns, and frequency controls.
d. Deletion Request Data
If you request account deletion or partial data deletion, we may store:
Your request type
UPI ID
Recovery phone number
Optional device UUID
Notes you submit
Review and completion timestamps
Minimal audit metadata after completion
e. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Some app data may also be stored locally on your device for app functionality. Depending on the feature, this may include billing-related or session-related information.
We use collected information only for legitimate app operations, including:
Registering and authenticating owner accounts
Linking and managing restricted user devices
Supporting account recovery and PIN reset flows
Enabling billing and transaction-related app functionality
Delivering and measuring in-app campaigns or announcements
Processing account deletion and activity deletion requests
Maintaining service security and preventing misuse
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data may be shared only:
When you explicitly choose to share content through another app such as WhatsApp or SMS
When required to operate the app’s own backend functionality
When required by law or valid legal process
We retain account and service data only as long as needed for app functionality, security, and support.
If you submit:
A full account deletion request, we delete account/device records, linked user-device records, refresh tokens, device claim grants, and campaign/activity history after approval and completion.
A partial data deletion request, we delete campaign/activity history while keeping the account active.
After a full deletion request is completed, we may retain only a minimal audit record for up to 90 days, including:
Request type
Status timestamps
Masked or hashed identifiers
Operator notes if needed for support or compliance
We use reasonable technical measures to protect stored data.
Sensitive credentials such as the owner PIN are stored in hashed form rather than plain text. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Bill2QR may request permissions such as:
Storage: to save or retrieve app data locally on your device
Internet: to connect to Bill2QR backend services and enable sharing-related or remote service features
We request permissions only for app functionality and do not intentionally misuse them.
Bill2QR may interact with third-party apps or services when you choose to use them, such as WhatsApp or similar sharing destinations.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those third-party services.
Bill2QR is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
