The Old Palace or the Zanati Palace
The old palace or Zenata Palace is located in the area known as the Deanship of Southern Maztouria of the Northern Tataouine delegation. The palace has foundations above a hill and the importance of the site prompted the residents in different periods of time to establish several palaces near it, where the foundations of the Palace of Awadid and the Palace of Awlad Aoun in the eastern side and the Palace of Daghara and Rakhaisa in the western-south side. It appears from the name Zenana that it was exploited by the Berber tribe of Zenata, some of whose descendants still reside near the palace in the southwestern side. As for naming the old palace, it goes back to the fact that in the eyes of the residents it is the oldest palace among the surrounding palaces. The palace occupies a rectangular shape with irregular sides, with a total area of 2560 square meters. The palace consists of a shed, a courtyard, and rooms with all facades. The shed is the main entrance to the palace, and its architecture resembles the architecture of the entrances to Islamic cities.

Awlad Aoun Palace
The Awlad Aoun Palace is located on the slope of the plateau that overlooks the modern village of Al-Maztouriyeh in the southeastern side of the Al-Awadid Palace, which is about 2 km away from it, in the Northern Deanship of Al-Maztouriyeh, in the northern delegation of Tataouine.
The palace occupies the shape of a square with irregular sides, with a total area of two thousand square meters, and it consists of an open court, which opens to the palace rooms, which consist of three floors, with a total of 180 rooms.

It is located on top of a hill near a modern village of the same name. It was established by mixed Berbers and Arabs in a mountainous area, as it was built on top of a hill. Its oldest buildings date back to the twelfth century. It is distributed on three levels topped by the Chenni Palace, which is a ruined castle that was undoubtedly used to store crops such as oil, grains, spices, etc... Some buildings are still used to store grains by the villagers who live in the valley.
Awadid Palace
Al-Awadid Palace is located on the eastern side of the old palace, which is about 1.5 km away from it on the plateau, which overlooks the modern village of Al-Maztouriya. The palace is attributed to the Awadid tribe, whose population consists of the northern deanship of Maztouria, from the southern delegation of Tataouine.
The palace occupies a rectangular shape with irregular sides, with a total area of 2000 square meters, and it consists of a shed that opens to the palace’s rooms, which number 120, distributed over 3 floors.
From the dates engraved on the gypsum material in the vaults of the rooms, it is clear that the old palace, where the oldest date is in room number 8 on the northern façade, is 761. We also find in room number 10 on the same facade 1209, and in room number 5, a date in numbers written in reverse 1237, where the date came in Indian numbers (7361).

Beni Barka Palace "kaser"
Beni Barka Palace is one of the fortified palaces that were built during the fifteenth century AD using gypsum, lime, and stones, which were used in the past to store various grains. The palace was built primarily in order to provide protection for Berber communities from attacks by the Bedouin tribes that inhabit North Africa. It also consists of a group of rooms and storerooms with a strange architectural design and a cellar dedicated to hiding valuable materials.
