Bilal Ahmad Bhat

I am  a PhD student in the Department of Economic Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.  My reseacrh interests include development economics and applied microeconomics. With a focus on gender, families, and household decision making behaviors, I explore the intricate dynamics that shape economic outcomes within families and communities. My research also extends to the well-being and economic status of older populations. I utilize large secondary datasets to provide analysis and insights that inform policy and contribute to the improvement of living conditions in developing regions.
