Privacy Policy for BikeTrackerPro
Last updated: March 28, 2026
BikeTrackerPro ("the app") is designed to help users record bicycle rides, review ride history, and optionally manage playback of locally selected audio files.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how it is used, and what choices users have.
1. Information the app processes
Location data, including approximate and precise location, to record rides, calculate speed, distance, duration, and route history.
Ride data created by the user through app usage, including timestamps, ride type, route points, average speed, maximum speed, and distance.
Audio file references selected by the user for the built-in MP3 playlist feature. The app stores playlist information needed to reopen and play files the user selected on their own device.
Basic app settings stored on the device, such as theme, language, and active ride state.
2. How the app uses this information
BikeTrackerPro uses data only to provide app features such as:
Starting, pausing, resuming, and saving rides.
Calculating ride statistics and displaying ride history.
Restoring an active ride after app restart, device restart, or app update when applicable.
Opening recorded routes in Google Maps at the user's request.
Exporting ride data as GPX or CSV files at the user's request.
Playing audio files selected by the user from their own device.
3. Data storage
BikeTrackerPro primarily stores user data locally on the device.
Ride history stored in the app's local database.
App preferences and active ride state stored in local app storage.
Playlist references stored locally so the app can remember selected tracks.
The developer does not provide account registration, cloud sync, or a remote backend for storing ride history inside the app.
4. Data sharing
BikeTrackerPro does not sell personal data.
BikeTrackerPro does not share ride or location data with the developer or third-party advertising networks.
Data may be shared only when the user explicitly chooses to do so, for example:
Using Android's share menu to share ride summaries.
Exporting GPX or CSV files.
Opening a route in Google Maps or another app chosen by the user.
When a user shares or exports data, that action is controlled by the user and may be subject to the privacy practices of the receiving app or service.
5. Permissions
BikeTrackerPro may request the following permissions:
Precise or approximate location, to record rides and calculate metrics.
Foreground location service access, to continue tracking while a ride is active.
Internet access, for map-related functionality such as loading map tiles or opening external map services.
Boot completed access, so the app can restore an active ride state after device restart or app replacement when needed.
The app does not require users to create an account.
6. Ads and analytics
BikeTrackerPro does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
BikeTrackerPro does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting services within the current reviewed app build.
7. Data retention and deletion
Ride history and related local app data remain on the device until the user deletes them or uninstalls the app.
Users can remove saved ride history from within the app where deletion options are provided.
Exported files created by the user may remain in locations selected by the user until they are manually deleted from the device.
8. Children's privacy
BikeTrackerPro is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.
Because ride and location data may be recorded on-device, parents or guardians should supervise use by minors.
9. Security
BikeTrackerPro relies on Android app sandboxing and local device storage protections to help protect stored information.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but reasonable efforts are made to keep data handling limited to what is necessary for the app's features.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or Play Store policy requirements.
The latest version should be made available on the app's public Privacy Policy URL and should match the current app behavior.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact the developer using the contact details provided on the app's Google Play listing or official distribution page for BikeTrackerPro.
