About the ARTIST

JoAnn Moran is a Social Impact Artist. Moran regularly leads public participatory art projects to support issues focusing on environment, peace, and democracy. She has worked with over 75,000 people hands-on making murals and other public art projects throughout the country and abroad. Native of Connecticut, Moran initiated the “We the People” Lamppost Banner Project in New Haven to engage and inspire voter participation. The project then inspired many other US cities. As an artist and member of League of Women Voters she hopes Bike The Vote murals will help give new inspiration to participatory citizenry while benefiting rails-to-trails initiatives as well.
