Bike Elkhart County is a grassroots bicycling advocacy group "working toward a safe, friendly, and healthy cycling community for all" in Elkhart County Indiana.
At our core are these Four Values, captured in the word "RIDE"
We will Respect Everyone regardless of their financial status, race, or gender.
We will Inspire others to ride their bicycles for recreation, health, transportation, and pleasure.
We will Direct the community to pathways, trails, and safe avenues for cycling.
We will Encourage and promote safe cycling to in community we serve.
We will do this by:
Representing the collective cycling community in the county by attending cycling related events, municipal meetings and support beneficial initiatives for cyclists
Advocating and Promoting a safe cycling environment in Elkhart County through education, literature, and events
Arranging and Publicizing bicycle rides and activities
Promoting the planning and development of bicycle routes and paths
Striving to connect cyclists of all ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds
Upholding a positive image of bicyclists in the community
