I am Dr. Bikash Pattanayak, Ph.D. in " Heat Transfer Analysis on the Expedition of Temperature Distribution and Bubble Behavior from Nucleation to Critical Heat Flux during Pool Boiling" from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur). Currently I am working as a Institute Postdoctoral Researcher at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kgp) in the domain of " Thermal Energy Management of Data Center".
I have worked as a Institute Postdoctoral Researcher at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) in the domain of " Thermal management of electronics". I have worked as Senior Research and Development Engineer at Tempsens Instruments Pvt. Ltd and as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NMIET, BBSR. I have completed my Masters in Thermal and Fluid Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with First class and Distinction. I have pursued my U.G. in the Mechanical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
My area of research includes heat transfer enhancement during pool boiling on tubes, plates, and micro-structured surfaces, droplet evaporation on heated surfaces, and desalination implementing boiling. As the Senior Research and Development Engineer, I have designed and developed heat flux sensors of higher magnitude, flexible heat flux sensors, thermal conductivity meters, triple point cells and temperature calibrators.
I have published 13 peer reviewed research articles in Scopus and SCI Indexed journals, 14 International conferences and 5 book chapters. I have been awarded the prestigious International Travel Grant by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Govt. of India for presenting my research at ICMF 2023, Kobe, Japan.
